Midwest Sunbeams is a resurrection of the original Midwest Sunbeam Registry formed in the early 1980’s that was based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We are also the Upper Midwest Chapter of the Sunbeam Alpine Owners Club of America and visit their website www.sunbeamalpine.org/. We were formed to share our interest in the Sunbeam marque. This is an informal group primarily for getting together, working on our cars, tech sessions, a good representation at car shows, car cruises and promoting the Sunbeam Alpine, Tiger and other Rootes Group cars. I have compiled a list of Alpine & Tiger owners in the five state area of Minnesota, Wisconsin, North & South Dakota, Iowa and also Manitoba, Canada. The original Midwest Sunbeam Registry in November of 1982 had at that time 65 members owning 39 Alpines, 20 Tigers, 2 Harringtons, Minx and Sunbeam Countryman Camper. Recently, the original members were contacted by phone and 12 people still had their cars and were pleased that the group was starting up again. We have now grown our mailing list to 99 Sunbeam owners in the five state area of North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Manitoba, Canada.
